WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Engineer/Project Manager for our Houston, Texas office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Providing technical leadership in the design of transportation projects
Lead Roadway Teams in the development of PS&E plans from conceptual to preliminary and final design. Projects include traditional PS&E and Alternative delivery.
Assist other technical discipline leads, and marketing staff in the identification of local agency pursuits and writing the technical aspects of proposals
Coordinate with other design disciplines such as structures, hydraulics, traffic, and utilities, etc.
Quantity Take Offs and Construction Cost Estimating
Train and Mentor younger staff

Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from an accredited University or College
Candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of related experience in Transportation design
Professional Engineering License in the State of Texas
Experience in engineering development using Bentley Microstation
Proficient in MicroStation, PowerGeopak or Power InRoads
Verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and with others
Applied knowledge and understanding with TxDOT Design
Proven understanding and application of Alternative Delivery of process, preferably for TxDOT
Familiarity with the Manual of Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) or AASHTO Green Book
Proficiency in ArcGIS; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF-editing programs
Experience in Hydraulics and Hydrology
